Throughout my life I have enjoyed bringing groups of people together, in an inviting atmosphere to share and learn together. I was able to do this in my career, and now that I am retired, I would like to continue to do this.

Caregiving Experience:
After my Father's stroke I was involved in assisting my mother find some creative resources for help. Mostly I found that just showing up, bringing a meal, listening, providing transportation to church and appointments were the biggest help. No one should ever be without support.

Fun Fact about me:
In 1985 I traveled to Ireland with 4 other women. We rode our bikes in the rain, up-hill all the way. It was a wonderful trip and one of my friends met her husband on the plane from Detroit, to Ireland!

Profile:
I retired from Ford Motor Company in February of 2007.
During my time there I was in some interesting positions, including the System's Thinking Group where we would look at situations from a systemic approach. What is under the tip of the iceberg that is affecting the system, that we cannot see? This has helped me remember to look at the bigger picture and keep an open mind.

I enjoy doing volunteer work and plan to hold a spring garage sale and collect donations to contribute to the efforts of CCAN and NFCA.
