Caregiving Experience:
I have traveled over 100,000 miles by airplane and over 40,000 miles by car to care for my mother Petie during her life. The last five of the ten years were both local and long distance caregiving while she resided in a nursing home.

I truly believe that unless you have "walked this walk" you cannot speak on it. The experience is the true reality for you and your loved one.

I have one goal and that is to speak for family caregivers so that they can survive this long and sometimes very lonely journey. For me caregiving was done with pure love for a mother who was beautiful inside and out. She helped me dream big dreams and pushed me to accomplish them. I was her baby and I was proud of it.

My husband is a saint who stood by my side for the whole experience. He now says that this was the greatest experience of his life although one of the most difficult.

Fun Fact about me:
I love Bon Jovi music.
I was a radio DJ on a jazz radio cable show called Skyline Jazz and loved it.
